Is there a more updated QT Lite?

The latest update to FF disabled my QT plugin. Trying to fix it I found your post. Installed it and it worked a treat (after fixing FF). Outstanding and a welcome hack, fapdrol. Thanks for prolonging the QT Alternative legacy.

Thanks. Btw, turns out PCMag is reviewing Viewsonics... they just weren't being ranked high enough to show up where I was looking. Sigh. FYI, I think I'm down to the VX2370SMH (Viewsonic) and the BenQ GW2450. Never bought BenQ before but the reviews are pretty good.

I know this thread is played out, but does anyone have a recommendation for a resource to find information on monitors? Cnet is useless (their recommended best priced monitor is $300+(?)), PCMag seems to not look at certain brands (eg, Viewsonic). I've sort of been brand loyal to Viewsonic for...

I still have my VX2435WM (recommended by the forum here) and still love it. My question is: VX2739wm, anyone give this a spin yet? They're claiming 1ms response and 76hz refresh rate. I did see a post on the forums that someone tested the lag and found it to be very low.

Hey. ATI's latest drivers finally allowed me to update my drivers (for the last year they haven't worked with my video card). Now unfortunately anytime the catalyst control center loads it overrides the color profiles I have set for my monitor. Anyone know a way to prevent ATI's color...

Kensings: I run my vx2435wm at 35% brightness with tweaked rgb gammas for calibration. If you are worried about accuracy at a lower brightness you may want to try the profile on this site: http://www.digitalversus.com/article-424.html I found them to be very similar to what I came up with...

There are a few methods, usually pressure or a program that rapidly switches the pixel on and off. I think there's a link on the first post to a Wiki on how to do it. Mind you, I've had 3 LCD panels with stuck and/or dead pixels... and I've never gotten one to work. My most recent panel has...

Where are you planning on ordering Trean? ToW has been mostly ok... not the best all the time though and they certainly don't seem to take instruction for taping a box closed, but their return policy seems pretty liberal. cboath: Is that from an external 1080 source or from your PC?

Ok, here's the deal... some things work differently on Analog (DSub) versus Digital (HDMI) inputs on the VX24. BUT, what you need to be aware of (like 1920x1080) is that your video card will influence things. ATI drivers at least include special HDTV settings and you need to adjust those...

For those playing along at home. Received 3rd and what will have to be the final VX2435wm from TechOnWeb. The box wasn't taped, and it took them 24 hours to ship it this time (showing up on Friday). There is 1 white stuck pixel. It's 1/3 of the distance from the right side of the screen...

Butaz: Nice find with those calibration profiles. I disabled my custom settings, installed the profile for the vx2435wm and found their profile to be very similar to mine. My Gammas were set with the monitor's brightness at 35. For theirs I needed to up it to 70 (which may be the monitor's...

No HDMI, just DVI? I would hope the NEC 2470wnx HDCP compliant anyway. Pricegrabber lists a company called iUnitek selling the NEC for $9 less than NewEgg, but frankly I've never heard of them. I would love for the Viewsonic to be a bit better for gaming, but for the less than the $225...
