Doh! Either the pixel just died, or I missed it before...but I definitely have two now. Bah, that stinks. I'm not sure if I should feel unlucky for having two dead pixels, or lucky because they are both off to the sides, hehe.

Yeah, I'm already getting used to it. The brightness of it isn't bothering me anymore, and I'm getting used to the little bit of motion blur. Just today I thought to myself, "You know what, that ain't so bad. What was I complaining about?" The color on this thing is just amazing though.

Just as an update, I think I'm probably spoiled by CRTs. I tried out my brothers much quicker, more expensive LCD monitor, and it didn't seem too much better. I guess all LCDs have a bit of motion blur don't they? Ugh, shoulda stuck with CRTs I guess. Nothing against this monitor though...

Just got this monitor today. Colors look absolutely great. When playing games or watching movies, it seems to have great "depth." Almost feels 3d. The glossy screen doesn't bother me at all. I even have a window pointing right at it. One dead pixel :/ Kind of off in the corner...

Parents are looking for a new budget PC

As mentioned by pretty much everyone in here and as a computer tech that sees this everyday...for the love of all that is good, get at least 1 gig of RAM. Buy them another gig next Christmas :P From what I've seen, Vista needs 1 gig to function decently and 2 is going to be recommended.

question for TForce P965pt owners

I'm not sure about the SATA drivers, I don't have a SATA drive. They do have a winflasher, but I'd suggest a floppy. I've flashed many BIOSes and have only had one mess up on me, and that was using a Winflasher. It'll cost you 10 bucks and I guarantee you'll use it at some point. I thought...

Any Intel P965 Boards in MicroATX?

It depends on just what kind of OC you are looking for. That board is a decent overclocker, but last I knew had a faulty PCI-e lock. So as you up your FSB, your PCI-e goes up...120 is about the limit for most cards.

New Conroe system and problems..

My second core is also usually 3C higher than the other. My load temp is also 55C. So I'm gonna say, yep, it's normal. I'm not sure about your other problem. That could be just about anything. Hard drive issues or windows issues pop to mind. First off test it with no overclock to see...

need help choosing a mobo

I guess it depends on just how extreme you're looking to OC. With the 6400, all you need to hit is 400FSB and you'll be at 3.2GHz. Pretty much any decent OCing board will handle that. They all do seem to have their fair share of problems. You didn't really give a price range, but I'd say...

I don't think the rebate disqualifies you, I do believe it decreases how much you get by the amount of the rebate. Is it worth it? Yes and no. It's a pretty good program, but it looks better on paper than it really is. You send your card in, they let you buy a new one, subtracting out what...
