If you prefer wider color gamut because you like oversaturation, then that's your prerogative. To each his own. Just know that for those that want to see accurate (for web) color that sRGB gamut is what they need. Wider gamut (and the oversaturation that comes along with it when viewing sRGB...

have you seen a 120hz IPS panel for yourself? the reason i ask is because i've seen a 144hz Asus TN and my IPS at 120Hz has a very similar feel. i don't notice any of this "colors not fully changing" thing that you're talking about. the only way the asus feels superior in terms of motion blur...

then why does a 120hz ips panel have a noticeable, positive difference in gaming compared to running it at 60hz? i won't pretend to understand how the panel technology works, because i don't. however, i've seen the difference first hand.

i've never noticed the issue. i play 120fps capped 120hz in borderlands2. the color looks right, and it looks a LOT smoother than it did at 120fps and 60hz.

Just keep sending them back until you get one that doesn't whine. If that never happens, then maybe that particular card isn't for you since you're sensitive to it. I disagree with those saying that coil whine isn't a defect- if I buy an expensive electronic device I expect it to be engineered...

New tweaks for ASUS/BENQ/Samsung 120 Hz! (Zero LCD motion blur; looks like CRT)

They can all OC, but the OC is not guaranteed to reach 120Hz. I got them back when they were only $440... they're more expensive now, not to mention sold out. I've used TN panels before. The color doesn't bother me at all for gaming. For color critical work I'll continue to use my IPS...
