Bush changes tune, No longer "The War President", goes back to "The Compassionate President"

You forgot his 2000 campaign promise of "No nation-building" Well, except Afghanistan, because we bombed their caves... And of course Iraq, because we invaded them "for our own good"... And don't start with the "9/11 changed all of that" bullsh!t - I'm sure the UN would happily take over...

I agree with the many others who have said raising a child is NOT mostly a matter of black and white - unless you include being respectful and open-minded about ALL people, regardless of race, sex, nationality, economic status, sexual preferences, and looks. However, I have not raised children...

I think a national sales tax is a good idea, actually - if you exempt basic goods, and luxury items have a little higher tax rate, then I think it would have a nice cooling effect on the over-consumption of our society.
