P4T533-C Help Please

I've had an ASUS P4T533-C since they came out. It shipped with BIOS 1003 and even now with BIOS 1008 I seem unable to either disable the serial or parallel ports OR enable PnP OS in the BIOS. When I do so, niether Windows or the Windows setup CD will boot, it just sits there at a black screen...

Shuttle SS51G XPC Mini PC... help please

It was the friggin cable. As I was taking out the special one that Shuttle included I noticed that by placing the cable in the clips (as the manual said to) it had smashed the living hell out of them and that probably causes some considerable crosstalk or external EMI to leak in. So I swapped...

P4T533-C: BIOS update

It was 100% stable before as well as now. It can survive long hours of abuse (benchmarking, 3D games, video editing, etc) without a problem. It's flawless once within Windows, it's just the BIOS that seems to cause little problems.

Well, I flashed to it then to the 1004.010 and they both seemed to fix the problem with the system not POSTing on a cold boot. I can now turn my computer on and off and it will POST fine, and it will POST quickly unlike with the 1003.002 BIOS which would sometimes take minutes to POST. I can...

Just curious but where are you finding the 1004 beta BIOS? I can only see a 1003 beta 002 on ASUS's FTP. I'd like to see if the newer BIOS solves my problems (looong POST time when Kingston 32ns RAM set to 4x and inability to disable serial/paralell ports without WinXP refusing to boot)...

ASUS P4T533-C BIOS Oddities

Yeah, they're all configured and recognized properly in the BIOS and during POST. The thing is, it will POST at a "normal" speed if I leave the RDRAM to Auto (so then it clocks it at 800MHz), but when I set the RDRAM to 4x it takes longer to POST for some reason.
