Somone recommend me a huge case

The CM Stacker should handle pretty much anything most people could need. It is a great case and I really like mine. It is fairly big and has a lot of room inside, plus a lot of cooling and the ability to use two power supplies. Also, it can be converted to BTX. Tough to beat.

USB Print Server $

$40 is cheap, but I don't know anything about Buffalo or the vendor you link to. Most small print servers I have seen from the major vendors (Linksys, Dlink) are $70-80. I am surprised how expensive they are. With 2 computers, it almost seems to make more sense just to get another printer...

I would wait. Your machine should play HL2 ok. Doom might be ok, or you might need to scale down a bit.

PC 133 Ram for Mom

It is an Intel cpu. It seems people don't seem too offfended by the thought of Rosewill from Newegg. Perhaps it makes sense to drop that $37 stick of 256M in and see how much the computer is used over the next few months and then see whether a redo of the mobo and cpu is warranted. If so...

Actually, it is for 256M but it is still high given the cost of all of the tooling on this stuff should have been amortized long ago. I can get good ddr 400 value ram for less.

I hear what you say about ME, and I have thought about just doing a mobo/cpu/ram with xp. Perhaps something like an XP 1800+ and mobo and 512 K ram for about $200 plus XP home OEM for $90? $290 isn't bad for a reasonably up to date system. Her 4 year old video card might be a bit strained...

Home Network Help Please through Router

Thanks for the repsonse. I just build computer B a week or two ago and haven't used it much. Today, it decided to update Windows XP Pro to SR2 and after that occurred I would see the shared drive on targe computer A. Go figure.
