I was lucky in that the accessories came with mine, but I can't for the life of me get the remote to work. The USB dongle gets recongized, and the light on it lights up... the light on the remote lights when a button is pushed, but the PC seems to never get a signal from it. As far as software...

They would have to have 6 month old stock to have ball bearing drives. At these prices, that would be surprising. Since they are selling drives warranted from the manufacture date, they'd likely get complaints if they were selling drives who's warranties were already six months used up.

Two sound cards in one machine?

Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know that I got this pair of USB speakers, and added them to my system with an existing sound card, and it works just fine! I've got text to speech and system sounds going to the USB speakers, and a/v audio (like ouput from winamp, media player, etc.)...

Actually, standard definition TVs can't do better than 640x480. Most video cards with s-video out will let you select higher resolutions, but in effect, all that really does is make everything smaller, and more blurry. It's downrezzed to what the TV can display. The higher resolutions are...

Hmmm, ok, then I guess I just need to check in each application I use (like winamp, media player, DVD playing software, etc.) to see that they can each be set to use a specific audio device. If so, then it seems that worst case, I'd just be getting system sounds from both outputs? I could live...
