Just got a first gen Nintendo Wii. What now?

Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the greatest RPGs of the generation. Also, I like the light hearted shooting games like ghost squad, house of the dead 2 &3, and house of the dead overkill.

If tae kwon do isn't that great in a real fight...

for every tank abbot, there is a lyoto machida who is just as successful yet champions martial arts as a basis. in the end, i tend to believe that every type of fighting style is a type of martial art, be it jiu jitsu, wrestling, boxing, or muay thai. Some people, like Abbot, or even Kimbo...

The Atom love-in / confession thread. Do you like Atom-based hardware?

have one of those 8 inch winbook tablets 2gb/32gb baytrail, and a zenfone 2, so I guess you can call me a fan. The tablet is limited to browsing and videos and is completely adequate for that. the zenfone 2 4gb/64gb is the best smartphone out there. I can feel an obvious speed difference...

Why did Broasted Chicken never take off?

I remember Alton Brown saying that KFC's method of using a pressure fryer did not contribute to anything special except for the time saved over a regular fryer.

Have you sped up your upgrade cycle, slowed it down, or neither?

now let's see... 486 -> Pentium II -> Northwood -> Nahalem -> Skylake it'll probably take another 6 years before the CPU evolves to a significant improvement.

run 100 mph or fly 10 mph

i would fly straight up and then descend on a flight suite at 100+ mph... and give the 100 mph runners a snooty look as I majestically soar past them.

Please help me decide between I5 6600k and I7 6700k

10% hyperthreading advantage + 10% higher clock advantage + potentially higher overclock you're looking at around a 20% gain in performance going from i5 to i7. definitely worth it.

Mini-itx future build

i would actually consider maybe a higher wattage power supply if you're planning on a video card down the line. for that price, you can probably get a modular 500-650W gold or above PSU. also, on a mitx build, i know a lot of people prefer a fan inside the PSU to use as an extra exhaust fan.
