It only applies to the Alienware 14, 17, and 18. I'd prefer to get something without a discrete GPU (integrated graphics on a Haswell would be fine for most of the games that I play), but it's hard to walk away from 25% off. 6 pounds does seem somewhat heavy...

Did you enjoy Baldur's Gate 1/2, Planescape Torment, or Icewind Dale back in the day?

Actually, I just finished playing BG1 for the first time with easytutu. What a fun game! And then I started BG2 for the first time... WOW, these games are amazing. And then I installed the widescreen mod, and it looks absolutely awesome.

Steam Weekend Deal *Thread updated weekly*(Deal start date: 10/23)

I've wanted to play The Witcher for awhile, but I'm not sure if I should wait longer for some sort of uber deal. I wouldn't be able to play it until September at the soonest, probably October actually. So that's not an easy decision

Valkyria Chronicles - This game is fantastic, get it. Final Fantasy Tactics meets WW2 (although it's a little childish at times) Resistance 1 and 2 - Very fun FPS games MGS4 - Very fun, probably the best in the series

PS2 Console Still Worth Buying?

Hell yes, it's a great system and super cheap right now, as you noticed. Then again, if you already have a Wii, remember that it also runs Gamecube games, which is full of good games for kids.

Can i use my ps3 controller on my laptop?

I've gotten it to work on my main PC, but I have to run the driver installation program every time that I want to use the controllers. Maybe he doesn't want to shell out $X for a new controller? Isn't that the point of the post?

That's really not true at all, CA has the 10th largest economy in the world (including other countries) according to the CIA factbook, and it's the single largest tax contributor in the US. Also, 75% of red states receive more from the federal government in socialist programs than they give...

Age of Empires 3 is not really a "newer" game, it's 4 years old... The last game I bought that came on CDs was the first DoW, and that was a long time ago
