2 SATA + 1 IDE hdd?

my 1 IDE + 1 SATA setup worked fine before, transfer was a little slow when u went between the two interfaces, but otherwise there werent any hiccups... i'm gonna try playing with it a little more...

2 SATA + 1 IDE hdd?

i just added a second 80 gig SATA and reformatted my pc, but when reinstalling windows, the IDE drive isn't showing up in the bios or as an option in the Windows setup. it worked before, when i just had one SATA drive, so does this mean that it (motherboard - ABIT NF7-S, XP, or watever) can't...

best mobo for XP2500-M??

I'm looking to upgrade to a Mobile 2500 (and overclock it of course), but i'm not sure about the best motherboard to get. I'm guessing a NForce2 board, but which one? I'm on the budget-oriented side btw, poor college kid u see :frown:. I also have a K8 SilentBoost and a 512 DIMM of Corsair XMS...

mousing surfaces

ok first things first, i HATE mouse pads, they r too small for me, i like to be FREEEEEE to move my mous over as large an area as possible, so i was thinking of just turning maybe an 18'' x 18'' portion of my desk into one big mousing surface.... right now its just regular wood, but i was hoping...

soundproofing??

i need a cheap ( if not free from scrounging around, as close to free as i can get) way to make the 60mm delta fan in my case more tolerable... the first thing to cross my mind was eggcrate foam... .. or any kind of flat foam... like the kind used for carpet padding or bed padding... the only...

cpu fan question

im using an older case for a new setup. heres the situation: looking from the top down, the power supply is directly above the HSF, with a little less than 1 cm of space between them. now i know this is definately not looking good for cooling my cpu, but being on a budget, i needed to save...

what's better?

well id say the ram is pretty good... but i dont think i can hit a very high fsb with agressive settings... i tried 2 different athlon xp 1600+ cpu's.. one can hit 170 FSB and runs stable easy... the second cant even run at 160 FSB stable... their both AGOIA cores too.. the Corsair XMS 2700 is...

what's better?

is it better to overclock the FSB as much as u can by lowering the RAM settings? or trying to find the highest stable FSB with the most agressive settings on? with my RAM settings backed all the way down, i can get somewhere between 186-190 (something like 1.89 ghz) FSB stable, i havent had...

OMG!!!

..i just got done unlocking my 1600+.. that was the hardest thing i have ever done... ::whew::... im so glad its over... i just hope it works ::crosses fingers::

Ordered my Newegg 1600+ yesterday(help me out)

dont put anything conductive in the gaps!! the gaps have a copper ground inside, so DONT do that.. thats y everyone uses a non-conductive material inside... i just got my AGOIA xp1600 today, and am planning to unlock it, but i need to make sure my method will work... i posted it in the Sudhian...

Dif between OEM and retail?????????

OEM is just the bare drive or card, whatever the case may be, usually just included is the hardware inside a static bag, sometimes with manual and cable, cards and cd/dvd drives are usually like this, OEM hdd's are just sold as is, drive w/ nothing else. Retail.. well.. u know the difference...
