I never did get the problem resolved. It didn't do it when I first built the system in open air on my desk. First noticed it after putting it in an Antec Solo case. Took it out of that case and put it in my P182, problem disappeared for a few restarts, then reappeared. I bought another P5Q...

new case, works fine I never could find the battery on this board - are the new ones smaller or something? I don't think that was the issue, because one thing I tried was disconnecting the power/reset switches and using the ones built into the motherboard

I had it at stock for about a day and it was burning up, so that's why I increased it to 35% I set it and played Portal for about 30 minutes, then restarted. It was a lot cooler than it was before - idle temp was like 80 at stock and was around 50 after I changed it.
