I was talking about the mobo BIOS -- I figure if I'm installing a new mobo, I might as well have the latest BIOS available. No?

AMD 3000+ fast enough for Nvidia 6800 Ultra

After doing a bit of research, I see that the GT can be overclocked to Ultra speeds. Is this a fairly simple procedure for an intelligent but overclocking-inexperienced guy? Does this depend on (a) power supply -- mine is 400W; (b) processor -- mine is AMD XP-2800+; and/or (c) memory -- mine...

6800 Ultra -- Manufacturer Differences?

What is the difference, if any, between the various manufacturers' versions of a "single" card. For example, there is an ATI x800 xt platinum as well as one manufactured by Sapphire, one by Abit, and one by VisionTek. Are they all basically the same? Re: the 6800 Ultra, is the PNY Verto...

x800 XT PE Availability?

You're right about that last part -- my bad :) The thing is...my local CompUSA claims to have the x800 XT PE on order, so I'm hoping that they'll get theirs at the same time as the ATI online store gets theirs (or soon after). I have gift cards waiting to be spent, and my roommate works...
