I guess this often happens because of the precedent of management being oblivious of the tech, or having all that middle management non-tech layer relaying all info to other non-tech upper layers resulting in a mess
When management understands the tech stuff then why fret, communication works...
very minor feature, switch solves this. you definitely dont need dgpu and all that, even with laptop iGPU nowadays
more peripherals is not really a good reason... even in storage, 2 nvme + 2 external ssds give tons of TB. then if you want 8+ drives you go workstation/server, makes sense...
you spoke about server, server will remain indefinitely until quantum becomes viable or something similar. workstation i.e. threadripper will also remain
but plain client desktop won't have a place anymore
there are no "desktop parts" anymore... it's the same CPU and difference is very marginal
exactly. but some will go to great lengths defending how "superior desktop CPUs are", they don't realize it's the same
