I've actually gotten to 2ghz w/ a 1.725, but not stable, and it was on a diff multi*fsb combo. With 1.7, I can get to 1910-19050 pretty stable, but backed off just to be safe.
I'm using a PAL8045 w/ the delta fan, and two intake/two exhaust fans + 1 side panel fan for the case...
During OC'ing, I understand up'ing the CPU voltage shortens the life expectancy of your CPU, but is it the heat that's generated by the higher voltages that's the cause, or is simply the higher voltage itself causing the damage?
The reason I'm asking this is that I'm running my CPU at 1.7v...
I just got my 1800+ from newegg two days ago, it's a AIUGA.
I'm building a new system, anyone had any expriences w/ this stepping at all? I'm waiting on my case and mobo (should be here in next few days).
