found this on the web (finally)
Flashing from a working DD-WRT to Tomato is much easier, as you can use the DD-WRT web interface. First, though, you need to get the password for the router. While you're still running the DD-WRT firmware, go to the command prompt, and telnet to the router...
Does anyone know how to install the Tomato firmware after DD-WRT on a Buffalo WHR-G54S? I followed the instructions on Tomato's Wiki which say "If you're already using a third-party firmware or just upgrading a Tomato firmware, try uploading any of the .bin files from the GUI."
My question is...
Is there any way to manually control the CPU fan with the motherboard. When it's on AUTO, I can hear the fan continually spin up and down - really annoying. I tried SpeedFan but it didn't work.
yeah, my first post was unclear. Basically, I know the conroe is much faster when encoding. But this didn't translate to a significant decrease in DVD Shrink times in my experience.

I searched online for wav files but every link I found was no longer active. You can host files for free at here if you'd like to upload a wav file :-)

I'm never going back to the F7 crap bios. I haven't had a problem since switching back to the F6. The system ALWAYS restarts without hanging now when oc'ing.
mega56: weird that Core Temp reports only a 5C difference. I don't think that can be right. What are you running under "load"? My temps are with Orthos.
OP: by the way, how are you voltages with that power supply? I'm not sure exactly what model you have but I don't think the Ultra brand is highly regarded.
OP: How does your cpu only change 54C to 60C full load? 54C idle is high. Mine idles at about 40C and is 62C at full load (running Orthos). This is with both side panels off and cpu voltage at 1.35
Is a 20C change high? I'm using stock HSF
I wouldn't update to the F7 bios if I were you. I was using the F7 bios and everytime I rebooted, the system would hang before the POST screen. I then installed the F6 bios and now the system reboots fine when I restart. There is no reason to update to the F7 bios If everything is working with...
