eh...I guess to each his own. My PC is working flawlessly, I'm just going to order a new board when they are available and then send this board back when I get the new one. No sense it ditching a perfectly working machine IMO.

I plan on just rebuying a revised P67 board from Newegg and returning my current board for a full refund once the new one arrives.
Anyone see a problem with that? Pretty much eliminates having to wait for the RMA process and since they are extending the return period it should be no problem.
This is such a non issue for me. My 2600k and Gigabyte P67 is seriously the best combo I've ever used, combined with a GTX 580....holy shit.

I don't think that's the case, this is isolated to the controller that supplies voltage to those SATA ports from what I understand. It does not effect anything else.
Sorry if this has been answered, but if I just stick with the 6Gbps ports and buy a SATA add on controller card wouldn't that be a solution to not having to deal with tearing out my motherboard?
