Very good question. I've asked myself that and others and its more of a hope situation than fact. No guarantees. Never been a good independent review of DC projects that I've ever seen. Look at WCG and the pay behind the top people and it would make any reasonable person wonder if its for real...

My experience with refurbs is as a CET. The sub $1000 has nothing to do with the current issue. I'm making good progress in my quest in finding a quality under $500 laptop thanks to those who are actually trying to help instead of criticize.
