Advice needed - GA-P35-DS3R Rev. 1

I just received my new GA-P35-DS3R yesterday. Unfortunately it is Rev. 1. I am wondering if Rev. 2 is much superior? I would like your opinion whether I should keep it, or I should return it and wait until they have Rev. 2 in stock here in Canada. I was successful in installing this new MB...

Swapping ASROCK880Pro-VSTA with GA-P35-DS3R

I am also wondering if it is a good idea to install the Gigabyte drivers while the ASRock Via board is still in the computer? Then when I boot with the new MB all the drivers should be there.

zaqzax The 10:8 ratio does not look right. I don't think this MB has this ratio. You are probably using something to read your memory speed that is not working probably. I use the latest version of CPUZ, which is version 1.37. The earlier versions showed weired numbers like yours.

Hey noxon, wow man. You've done an outstanding job. Congrats. Really great results with the MB. I'm at stable 310FSB with an E6400 but that's as far as I've been able to push it.

I think your PC2100 memory can run at 262 speed. The calculation is 2100 / 8 = 262. I think it should be okay with any Pentium CPU that runs on 200 FSB. That would include any Pentium Dual Core processor. If you see this AnandTech's article, you will see the motherboard has a 3:2 ratio...

If you are plugging the sticks in the USB port on the front of your case, the problem maybe due to the connctor in the case. Some older cases have connectors that only comply with USB1 standards. Try using the connctors in the back of the motherboard to see if you get the same message.

My high temp problem with 2.10 was related to the change I made in the BIOS when I enabled the "Quiet Fan Option". FW 2.10 seems to be working very good for me.

With 1.90 fw my e6400's idle temp was 42, full load was 48. After I flashed the BIOS to 2.10, I have noticed the idle temp has gone to 50. I didn't dare to let run full load. I haven't done anything else that could account for this rise in temperature. Please check your CPU temperatures...
