Thank for the replies. The voltages are from values in the BIOS monitor. Both the CPU and motherboard are new (bought them on Tuesday) and the 24pin/8 pin/4 pin molex are all connected to the motherbard.

I've done everything that I could think off... I reset the CMOS and took the battery off, I messed with the CPU BIOS settings, I downgraded to P30 BIOS, messed with the BIOS settings, re-upgraded do P30, messed with BIOS settings. I rechecked the CPU physical location, reseated the...

Yes, did the latest BIOS update, and had to reinstall both the SOs (XP and Vista) due to the driver conflicts. I just did not reset the CMOS and removed the battery after the processor update. Have to try that when I get home.

Have you tried changing the ports? Maybe your ISP is throtling the ports you are using...

Doom III = Teh Suck!

After being almost over in the game, here is my take on the overall experience (call it a mini-review). After all the hype surrounding D3, I must say that I have a mixed bag of feelings regarding my experience with the game. Maybe I was expecting too much of it, but for now the game has failed...

Doom3 Audio Issue

For the guys that are having problems in D3 with sound stoping in the middle of the game try this: Add the following line to your doomconfig.cfg: bind "x" "s_restart" Everytime audio drops out, just press the "x" key.

Answers: 1. Probably not. The only heatsinks that I know that benefit from that are the Alphas and they were designed like that. 2. Yes!!

Do not do this!! The best way to do it is to put it on the side of the core with beingon top of the CPU. If youy put it between the CPU and the heatsink you won't get any contact and your processor will fry in a matter of seconds.

Yes, a 30C temp drop is unlikely but a 15-20 is probable. And AMD chips do have the internal diode but many boards don't read it. Most of them read from the diode beneath the CPU (in the center of the socket).
