Is 2.2V Vdimm safe for DDR2?

akshayt, please read the title again, he's using DDR2 (they use lower voltages) strangerguy i would assume it's ok, but i really CANT say...

First overclock...is this safe?

yeah you can edit the names go into the directory, and open the config file 'speedfansens' browse to the temp1 value and change the 'name = tothenameyouwant' - and you're done :) also, are you sure temp1 is the cpu? in 4.29 there is a new entry 'core'... i am not sure which value is...

Broken pin on processor

mine was severely bent... as in almost off used tweezers to straighten it all up, also had to push it in a LITTLE bit... it all works now :) - benched it to ensure performance wasnt lost :P i've heard of people using staples, you could give it a go dude

X2 3800+ users

is it true there are two types of toledos? those that are stock at 1.35V and those at aroudn 1.42V? mine is stock at 1.42V and i have it up to 2.5ghz with 1.525V currently... any further (i dont raise the voltage past here though) and the chip doesnt prime...

Can X-Ray machines [and metal detectors] damage computer hardware?

yer many people take laptops onto planes, no probs! perhaps the metal detector MIGHT do something to the hard drive, but they stick that all through the x-ray machine if it was a problem, there would be signs alerting you of it, so dont worry :)

No POST, no beep, no video

The other night, an unknown component in my computer made a 'pfffffttttt pssssst' noise, hehe, then turned off, and i could smell something burnt inside. also note, this was during the POST phase now the computer doesnt give an initial POST beep, or POST at all, and no video i have ruled...

Is my board dead

i have the same problem, except after SOMETHING in my computer burnt out (i heard it, and smelt it :( ) trying to boot without the cpu, does your motherboard give an error? mine does, but im still to figure out what the problem is...

Toolbar Missing

A8n32-Sli problem with Watercooling

you will have to cool the chipsets, because when you take away the CPU fan they are no longer cooled (the heatpipe carries heat from the chipsets up to the MOSFETS (thing next to cpu) then the cpu fan cools that also) so, not sure, probably be best to get another waterblock for the other...

SuperPi 1M: 1:19s 2M: 2:58s

35.45 seconds 3800 X2 @2500MHZ pretty cool, however not exactly stable on core 1 in prime95 (core 2 is fine though :S) 1M btw

did you install the latest nvidia drivers? if so... did you isntall the firewall with it? the firewall causes trouble...

Well my first post here... and its not even for me! (but i didnt sign up for this purpose) my friend is trying to format his hdd and reinstall windows. he formatted and the format took about 4 seconds (strange he didnt use quick format either) and then went into the red reboot thing that...
