USB-to-USB PC file transfer...is special software necessary for this to work?

I have a usb to usb cable, it came with s/w which builds a windows explorer looking window. Top have being your puter and lower window the remote puter. Just drag files from one window to the other. the disk has some drivers and the the explorer looking s/w. Mine is couple years old..w98 and...

anyone tried Starband Satellite broadband?

I have Starband for at least 6 months with the older modem model 180. The people who set it up will have a lot to do with how well it works. I had aligment problems and two returns by the installation people. Normal speed down is 30-50KB. Speed up is about 5-7KB. Seems to have DNS problems...

Dualboot Default OS

My computer is a dualboot W2K and W98se. The default OS is W2k. How do I change the default to the W98 operating System? TIA

B+W problems

Running a C2@800 with 256 meg with a Radeon 32ddr card. The game locks up while loading, sometimes Norton crash gaurd catches it, if it does I can anti-freeze which allows the loading to continue. When it doesn't catch the crash the cd just stops and Ctrl-Alt-Del won't do anything. I have...

Adobe Premiere and mp3 audio

I make DivX/avi movies with Mp3 audio. Is there a mp3 plugin for Premiere? Sure seems to be a waste of time to have to encode with something else(like DV audio) do the editing and then recompress with mp3 audio..any suggestions? Tia

laplink USB?

I've been using a USB cable for file transfers (50-100meg range) for some time now and it works great. Got the cable from Onvia for something like 30 dollars.

lost my boot loader

Thanks for the help..but i just installed w2k over, kept all the files just had to reload drivers, codecs etc. Really had very little besides OS on the parition.

I had to reinstall my C: partition (w98se) and now I don't have the boot loader for w2k. I think i could repair or reinstall loader but I can't boot in w2k. Help

Boot Problem

This morning my triple boot system says "invalid system disk replace the disk and then press any key" there is no floppy in the system, primary boot98se. The other two OS boot properly. Any ideas??

W2K boot loader

Boot Magic solved the problem,and can controll the default OS on start up Now I have a choice of: C..W98se D..SCSI W98 E..W2K
