Thinking about getting Shuttle, any tips?

Forgot to mention, I'm running mine at 215mhz rock stable. I dont wanna go higher because I dont think my ram can handle it. Its got good overclocking options too.

Thinking about getting Shuttle, any tips?

Shuttle makes a ton of boards. They also make SFFs. So you'll have to pick a chipset first. I have an AN35N Ultra, (nF2 U400), and absolutely love it. It has no bells and whistles (sata,mcpt,firewire, etc), but I never needed that anyway. They make good boards. Look for one you like, and go for it.

How hot does nForce2 Ultra 400 northbridge get?

I have a Shuttle AN35N (nF2 Ultra 400) in single channel mode. I recently figured out that the NB doesn't make full contact with heatsink. Its passive cooled. I ran prime95 for 45 minutes, and the nb heatsink was just warm to touch. Right now the system is running at 9x213mhz. I want to try...

Program to figure out wth SBLive drivers are doing?

The registry has some settings for the sound card, and the only files it refers to are in the 'creative' directory under program files. But that just adds up to 33mb. I still wanna know where the other 67mb is.

If I install my SBLive drivers (just drivers, nothing else in XP system and 2k), a 100mb increase can be seen in the C partition. Sure enough, uninstall and its gone. I want to know what files are put into windows, and how an install program thats 30mb can create 100mb of stuff. Anybody know a...

Just got new SBLive XGamer card. Now what?

Yep, onboard sound has been disabled. Plus I did some searching, and found a page that talked about modding the Audigy 2 drivers and installing it on Audigy1 and SBLive cards. I did it, and it works like a charm. Plus, the sound quality compared to regular SBLive drivers is a lot better...
