What would be the effects of putting Nitrous Oxide in a drink?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS) actually has a branded energy drink. DrinkNOS.com Sadly, nitrous oxide is absent from the ingredients list.

24" IPS/VA screens and "uniformity"

I've been through 4 LP2475w's before the one I have now. All, including this one, had color and brightness uniformity issues, however this one is the most uniform in that regard. The bummer is that it has two dead pixels touching diagonal from one another right where the default quicklaunch bar...

My LP2475W is pretty dim on the right side

Title says it all really. I bought my LP2475W from Newegg in late February but its right side is noticeably dim, and not just in all-white screen tests, even while looking at this forum I can notice it. Viewing angle doesn't really matter. I know complaints about the right side of these...

I might be beating a dead horse here but as of 7/24/2008 the Doublesight 263N is a deactivated item at newegg.com. Seeing as how it's recommended all over the place on the main article I thought it would be good to mention. Doublesight 263N product page.

Memory Upgrade on an IBM T40 Laptop

My friends just bought a DDR Sodimm for their IBM T40 laptop. The manual states it uses PC2100 266Mhz DDR ram but they bought a 333Mhz Sodimm. I didn't think anything of it because I thought ram should downclock just fine, it's just that running ram past its specs is where you run into problems...

Which of these would suit my needs better ?

Are you interested in any of the CUDA/PhysX stuff coming out for Nvidia cards? Anandtech just put up an article about a CUDA h264 video encoder. I don't know what ATI has planned for running C on its cards though.

U.S LCD market sucks!

So I'm heading to Korea on Sunday. Which areas should I check out in Seoul for computer parts? I'd *love* to snag a cheap 24" IPS while I'm there. Also, I have a more pressing need for a nice power supply.

Yeah! I just read that an tried it out. The faces look great, except dynamic shadows are still visible on the body...and exhibit the same ugliness as the ones on the face.

Hot diggity, I'll install these tonight and report back. The issues I have with Mass Effect are mostly related to incredibly ugly facial shadows, especially with dynamic shadows enabled. I'm using an MSI 8800gts 512 OC with the 175.16 drivers.

Really stupid 8800gt card installation problem - help!

Check the pins on the connector coming from your powersupply. Make sure that they are all aligned and straight. I've been bitten by bad connectors like this more than once. Also I would not run it with the cable not fully seated. A random bump or move of your computer could unseat it while...

Vid Card Died: Need Suggestions

VPR I'm curious what your prices are like in China. Currently in Japan...they're awful. I just bought an 8800GTS 512 that my friend is bringing to me from America. Off Newegg it'll be 180 after rebate. In Japan an equivalent stock GTS is like 40,000Y (~$400).

Thanks for all the help guys. I hemmed and hawed way, *way*, too much on this before going with the MSI 8800GTS. Bottom line, it'll be faster out of the box and will no doubt have overclocking headroom, power requirements nonwithstanding. Worst case scenario, it draws too much and I have to...

Aghhhh, now it's between the EVGA and this MSI. http://www.newegg.com/Product/...7325&Tpk=msi%2b8800gts $180 after rebates but a better warranty than ECS. Not nearly as good as EVGA. I'm going crazy over this and I don't know why! The EVGA could probably be overclocked to bring it...
