I'll give using an empty floppy bay a try. It's a tooless case and the floppy bay is a different size than the hard drive bay. I will have to rig it to get it to work. I'll report back on what if anything worked.

The spec says the 8400s all have 400 Mhz fsb but upto 533Mhz memory. They also give you a choice to upgrade the memory to 533 from 400Mhz while configuring.
