    I am trying to find out if my ASUS A8N-SLI Premium is compatible with a Silicon Image SiI 3726 SATA port multiplier (1 to 5).     What does the drive look like when in "My Computer?" It may show up as two drives in device manager, because, there ARE two drives. Do you have two drive letters, or just one?

    Are you plugged into the nForce SATA ports, or the Silicon Image controller's SATA ports. This could be your problem, but not sure. You'll probably want to use the ones on the nForce4, since you don't need the driver on floppy to boot (i.e., native support).

    You have to make sure it's setup to output 5.1 in the software that you are using, such as the nvDVD decoders, or whatever else. Default is 2 channel sound.

    OCing normally has nothing to do with the SATA, or any for that matter, hard drives. They were probably talking about PCI-E locks, so you can lock your video card at a certain speed, but still increase the CPU speed. Not sure. I haven't really gotten into OCing, mainly because I haven't seen...

    Why isn't the ASUS A8N SLI PREMIUM listed on their site?

    Yep, I got one last week, still haven't built the system yet though. Several people have posted that the board seems to work well, and not have the same issues the Deluxe did when it first came out.

    You are right, the Antec does have 3% rails. So, your 12V does look a little low, but I probably wouldn't worry about it. I've noticed that almost all PSU 12V rails seem a little on the low side.

    No, you shouldn't. Those voltages are all within the spec of 5%. No power supply will be perfect. Some PSU's spec 3%, but not many. The low side of the 12V rail is 11.4V, which is exactly -5%. So, you are above that.

    It's taken so long for the first nForce4 MB to show up, is probably why. I doubt there will be a rev on the NF4 chipset, since it's pretty much got everything up-to-date now, and everything seems to work correctly on it. Strange about the A8N-E. Maybe it hasn't been a hot seller at NE...
