Why are flat surfaced sea and aircraft invisible to radar?

Watching science channel. They said the ships are built with flat panels that "absorb and deflect radar". Does it have to be flat? I've always wondered how radar stealth works.

Want to send mail over internet from home machine

Alright, I broke down and just called my ISP for the settings and my login. I'd set it up over a year ago and never used it, lost the paper where I wrote it all down on. BTW, how do mailservers know if an email is coming from a dynamic IP?

Da Vinci Code...off to a bad start

My friends who raved about the book are all people who don't read or have poor taste in books (Harry Potter fans). When the book got REALLY popular that confirmed it was pure crap so I never read it. The movie also looks craptastic.
