This is a pretty good deal for most people since they usually aren't able to get this kind of a discount. If you are buying a $999 iBook, you get 10% off. Pretty darn good (even better than the student discount in this case).
The coupon is attached to a CitiBank CC statement and it is an instant "rebate", so the $100 discount is taken at the register.
Edit: This is "confirmed" because I have a few friends that received such a coupon. I would like to know why they got a coupon and I didn't.
