Price is a gut punch. I literally felt my stomach sink when I saw them. If AMD follows suit, I don't think I can be an enthusiast anymore. I thought I would be angrier, you know, Nvidia being scumbags is a meme and all but I just feel depressed lol.

Everyone was clowning the 6800 but it really does look damn good vs the 3070 like I said it would. Just goes to prove, I'm smarter than everyone else as expected. Anyway, these look like decent AMD GPUs for once, so I'll probably pick one up, whichever I can find next week, doesn't matter which...

This rumor is actually affecting my mental I'm ready to throw hands if these cards start getting sold out to miners. It's going to be me and Lisa Su in a steel cage on Monday Night Raw if I can't upgrade my GPU this month, don't test me.

Question Is using "Infinity Cache" for Navi 2X a good move?

I wonder how difficult it would be to thrash 128MB of cache. You'd have to be really trying I bet.

Those results really explain why Nvidia is rumored to be releasing a 3080Ti and 3070Ti. They make the 3070 look downright pathetic. I'll probably do a full build this christmas, going to do the big stupid and go full high end everything then settle for a 6700XT if it lines up in performance...

Pleasantly surprised by SAM. Thought it was another stupid vendor specific feature that wasn't going to be supported, but no it works on every game and is actually a really cool removal of a traditional bottleneck on PCs. It's also interesting that AMD is now more efficient than Nvidia...

So stock clock seems to be 1152mhz for the 2300sp part, according to the linux drivers, so theres at least an improvement from that direction. Hopefully it means we can expect 1250-1300mhz aftermarket/common oc.

How can you say that with any certainty? Maxwell for example already showed that more performance can be extracted from fewer shaders in practice , compared to kepler (which was poorly balanced as fiji/gcn in general, just in the opposite direction).

If this gpu has to fit into a ps4 size box, its gotta be sub b 120w. And if that delivers 4k30, then it is clear over 2x more efficient than current gpus. It speaks well for the next lineup.

Because its a garbage architecture. Anything shader heavy destroys performance on it. Its a shame newer gaphics tech is all shader heavy... pbbbt. When games get more number crunchy and literally nothing else then obviously an architecture designed around big honking shader arrays is going...

I disagree. DX12 has much more reason to succeed than DX11 and DX10 did. It's going to be the next DX9 for sure.
