Cheap PCI vidcard w/ sharp output? (2d only is fine)

I need a cheap (sub-$50) PCI card, that has excellent image quality up to 1280x960. Doesn't have to do 3d, even. What would you recommend?

ADA3200 a good choice? (down to $194 at gameve)

Noticed in Anand's price-tracker that the ADA3200 is down to $194 at gameve. ADA3200 Is the clawhammer w/ 1M cache? Any way to know if it'll be a CO or CG? Would this be a good overclocker, or would I be better off w/ a 3200+ newcastle? TIA, Goto

It's a Trinitron _style_ tube--aperture grille, a copy of the Sony technology, manufactured by Mitsubishi. So it does have the damper wires.

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

The 4/24 bios is not the original. The earliest dated BIOS I've seen is 4/11, which I've been using with good success (1.6a @ 2.4ghz, 1.55vcore, corsair xms3200 @ 400mhz). For those who might be interested, I've posted it for download here. As for board revisions, the earlier ones, with...

Questions about the Leadtek ti4200 128MB (new VIVO)?

What's the GPU speed on these things? I thought all ti4200s were set to at least 250mhz, but the specs on newegg say this thing is 225mhz (eww). Anyone know for sure?

As interpreted by the bios/mobo. So if the MBM reading is off, responsibility lies w/ the mobo manufacturer, not with MBM.

You can find out just how far off the reported thermal diode temps are by following this procedure at the arcticsilver homepage. My Epox 4g4a overreports cpu temp by about 12 degrees centigrade. Goto

thermal diode calibration: could my 4g4a really be off by this much?!

I recently followed the procedure at the arcticsilver site for calibrating my P4's thermal diode. My results were rather stunning, revealing that the system is overreporting the CPU temperature by 12.5 degrees centigrade(numbers checked and double-checked). If correct, it helps to explain my...
