DOOM 3 Slowdown: PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!

I blindly jumped to the ATI new driver because i was used to do so when i was a nvidia user and then i never had a driver related issue. And CV, you have got what give, so crap yourself!!.

Sorry for the mistyping, my page file is 1280mb, not 1280k And yes, there is a little hard disk activity when slowingdown, but not a continuos access, the HD led just flashes a little, i think this is normal because when playing Half Life there is the same hard disk activity and the game runs...

I've been playing Doom3 for 2 days, the first minutes the games runs faster ok, but after 10-15 minutes of playing the game it becomes too slow to worth play, seems like a slow motion film, impossible to play. This behavior shows only in this game, i've completed Half Life 2 just fine, CODUO...

HELP with IDE RAID

OK, thank for your reply. And about 2 windows XP, i have noticed certain slowdowns, running games with a windows XP fully equiped, mostly with antivirus software, firewalls, and background services, i have read serveral tunning recomendations where the first point is always disable unnedded...

HELP with IDE RAID

I'm planning to configure an IDE RAID system, i've been reading the manual, but still i'm not sure what to do. My disk are: two (2) 20GB MAXTOR IDE 5400rpm, one (1) WD IDE 80 GB 7200rpm with 8MB buffer half partitioned. I want to configure an RAID 0 system for performance, but i'm not sure how...

Need Help!!!!, ANTS in my Hard Drive!!!

24 Hours after I found the first ant, they are still comming out & are driving me crazy, i got 7 ants in 45 minutes the hard disk has been powered up, last night i blowed it hot several times whit a hair dryier, got 6 ants, later I stored the HD in a sealed antistatic bag, found 1 ant in the bag...

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera to take a picture when the ants started to came out, I'm not sure exactly where did they came from, i'm not sure if got to the plate (i dont think so, and i really hope so), but at least i can say that they came out from every open hole in the hard drive when...

Thank's god it was the windows drive, and had no data stored, just windows, the data drive is OK, i didn't leave any food near PC, no other devices had ants, neather the other hard drive, I'm repartitioning and formatting now, i'll let you know what happent...

Believe it or not, after a windows BSOD: UNMOUNTABLE_VOLUME, I got out the hard drive to checkit in other computer, and perplex I saw ANTS coming out from it, when got hot in a low level format, what can I do?, the disk sometimes shows errors, other times works fine, i suspect, still are some...
