What's My Problem?

That's what I was thinking too, but while testing, I left the mobo inside the case. I used the same PSU cable that might be causing a short. Or maybe it's just 2 unrelated incident that blown up the PSU.

Ok, I got several old PSU and tested all of the components. I didn't connect all the components at once since the old PSU wouldn't be able to handle it, it's always the bare (Mobo, CPU, RAM & VGA) plus some other component. Everything looks ok, I don't get blown PSU or anything, so what the...

Thanks guys. Yeah, the PS smoked as in when I plugged the power cable to the back of the PS. I will replace that just to be safe. And if that solves it, great, if not, I'll try furballi's suggestion. Thanks again!

Problem with 8RDA3+

Can't flash my BIOS EPOX 8RDA+

Hi Mem, I tried using the MagicFlash, and it flash the BIOS ok, but now I had a really strange problem. When the system loads up, it takes forever. It took literally about 5mnts. I always get Disk I/O error, but if you wait long enough it loads fine. I thought I was going to lose everything...

Thanks for responding Mem. I've tried 2 different floppy. One is just the .bin file, the other all of the extracted .exe file. When I set the BIOS to LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS, it automatically set floppy as 1st boot device. That is why I get the "NTLDR is missing" error msg. I'm using Win2K...

PowerSupply: defective or normal?

No.. it's definitely the power supply making the high pitch noise, coz I put my ears right next to the exhaust fan of the PS.
