Do you guys think a 300W 15A@+12v PSU is enough to power the x800 pro PCI-E?
I've got one dvd drive, 1 hd, a capture card (pci) 56k modem and 3-5 usb devices.
How will i know will it run without enough power even at Stock settings?

I just got ATI to send me a 12v power adapter for my pci-e
Im wondering though, will they extend my time to return since i couldnt install card until the cable comes?

my current PSU has a 15 amp rating on the +12v rail
Is it alright to buy a PSU with higher or lower amp rating for my comp

I just bought the ati x800pro pci express card and i think i need to upgrade the power supply. To the best best of my knowledge i have an ATX-300 PSU. I have a stock eMachines T6522 and im wondering if i need a special PSU or would any old PSU work.
Does it need to be 20 or 24 pin?
