REMOTE DESKTOP I'm trying to access my media server from outside the network using Remote Desktop. I've read this post and concluded that I need to 1) ascertain my "outside" IP address, and 2) set up the port to forward to the right computer. Or perhaps not, I'm not good with the lingo...

Media server rebuild and questions

Help with Win XP Drive Compression

Well, I tried to compress a folder (1.5gb) with winzip just to see - it took my Duron 600mhz a really, really long time. Looks like I'll just be adding more drives.

Software to test network throughput?

Yeah, I did that, but MS doesn't give you good numbers, just the "3 minutes, 45 seconds, etc." left. I was hoping for a cool graph and some good numbers, just for curiosity sake, it's not really that important.
