What do you use to protect your camera lcd screens?

For my Sony a700, I've used and been quite happy with Giotto's AEGIS Pro series hard protectors... 98% light transmission, 12 layer AR coatings, etc... Top of the line... The Sony branded ones are cheap, scratch easily, and don't stay on very well... The Giotto's ones are quite nice, although...

Which one is better... of the Call of Juarez

Just finished BiB (#2) but have yet to play the original. The quickdraw part of the game took a couple deaths to figure out at first, now it's pretty much second nature... At normal skill level, by the end of the game I was winning almost all the draws on the first try... Just have to keep the...

Trine PC - pretty cool

Played the demo, not bad... The spinner was the most time consuming puzzle to get it just right, but the concept came pretty quick... Controls weren't bad with kb+m... Not sure if I'd want a full game though, the demo was like "Cool concept, short fun, but I'm over it already..." I'll come...

Is there a difference on the Nikon 50mm f1.8 and the Canon 50mm f1.8

Did you compare a photo take from the same place, same settings, just a look through the view finder? Sure, the crop factor will be a minor difference, but I believe there is an additional small difference in the view finders on those two cameras, giving the impression that you are capturing...

Sony A350 and Non Sony Lens

Any more info on the lens that's causing the issue? I shoot the Sony a700 and there is a menu option to enable/disable shutter without lens attached. Not sure if that is available on the a350. I use it for shooting with manual m42 lenses via adapter. No electronics, no AF, no nothing...

I upgraded my camera

As noted "In Time", better camera or not, anyone will get better results once they get more familiar with their new gear.... Take two equally good photographers (when measured with same gear), then give one of them all new, better, but notable different gear than he was using previously. Then...

What is the proper way to shoot a person on a roof at night?

Glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking how to best "snipe" the person.. Wind, range, etc... ;) Fuzzy covered it though... Tripod, expose for surroundings, rear(slow) sync flash for the person. Might need to -X a few stops on the flash to not blow the person out. Let us know how it...

can't connect to battle.net w/ diablo 2 because my username is too long

Yep, but EPLite now seems to be tracked by Warden too and boots you from the game... Not aware of any current MH's... The bots are still running fine, and are just nice script systems without code insertion involved, so warden doesn't catch them at the moment... You can find them via google...

E8400 Overclocking

I've had my C0 8400 running at 3.89ghz for daily use at 1.325v for a year now on a GA P35 board with basic aftermarket air cooling.. Benched okay just over 4ghz, but I choose keep it a little lower for friendlier voltage and temps for everyday use... Hoping to get my hands on a qx9750 soon...

Another fisheye experiment with slow shutter

Nice result... You say one second exposure, so I supposed trailing flash (rear sync?) to freeze the subjects after some painting? It's not an area I've played with before, so I don't have much of a clue on the technique or terminology...

Shots from yesterday

Nice shots, nice model. 2 is a solid one, as others noted. I do like 5, although the lighting is just a hair harsh with a bit of dark shadow showing in places where it shouldn't... Additional soft/fill light sources would have been perfect, but it's still not a bad shot. I'm sure your model...

If you had to choose, what is the favorite pic you have taken?

Nice shots Rufus... I like the fence one the most.. Might call it "Sunrise" or something as an abstract name... Really does have a nice look of the sun... And thanks for the positive comments on "Fresh Tracks"... Right place, right time, with good company... Hope to have a lot more like it...
