X2 and MCE

I had the exact same problem - it turns out there is an issue with MCE2005 and the AMD implementation of dual core - basically both CPU's try and handle the recording and playing of tv and it scarfs the machine - Mine would lock up every three days - Drove me nuts - all I did was upgrade the CPU...

Don't install nVidia's IDE drivers.

Does anyone know about sata 150 and sata II on the NF4U? I posted before about the reboots I re-installed the 6.53 drivers except for ide, then manually updated the ide...now I no longer get reboots but XP sees my SataII drives as Sata150 ??

Okay here is one for you - ;) chaintech nf4 ultra - everything has been grrrr ate - until I added two 250GB hitachi sata II drives in a raid 0 config on sata 3 and 4 (so 1 and 2 are not raided - 3 and 4 are and two dvd burners on IDE) - now - the computer reboots every half hour - when it's...

I have been dealing with EPOX support - they are not much help. Apparently they only recommend 4 types of memory with this board (although the article they sent me was for the + not the J) Corsair 3200, 4400, OCZ and G.Stop or something like that. I just had it happen again before typing...

Getting a new P4C - Are there any NEW GUIDES to OCing this CPU?

Well now that is weird - I ran 3dmark2003 last night and got in the 5500's..hmm. (9800pro card not oc'ed).. I don't like the new 3dmark but that is my thing.....if you suspect it's your memory get memtest (do a google search) that will tell you if you have memory woes or no :)

Rumor has it that there is a new IS7 bios coming out that is supposed to increase performance "dramatically." (not my words) - I wonder if it will enable PAT in the 865 - I hear that you can on the ASUS 865 board in the bios.

actually - I had a system (2.26 oc'ed to 2.8) that made it through prime no problem but would fail 3dmark2001 - I use three stress tests, prime95, 3dmark2001 and super pi - if I can make it through all three and pass memtest (okay so I use 4 tests) then I stamp it stable :)

weird - I am at 265 right not stock voltage and no problems - but if I set my memory divider to 3:2 I get BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP - (running 5:4 right now) - @ 3:2 it would be 353 - well under it's ddr400 rating and way below the 424 it is running now... My cpu is @ 3.2 Ghz and with Dual Channel...
