Funny, I was almost hit by one yesterday when it pulled out of the parking lot. I couldn't figure out what car it was. It does look pretty cool on the road tho. The rarity also helps.

The higher quality is due to that it is going through the programmable shader processor and different adaptive filters(sharpening, noise reduction, etc) can be implemented and tuned to improve the video quality whereas the UVD is fixed funtion pipeline.
