SC was cool, but I was thinking the other day of what SC2 would be like as a MMO concept like WoW. Of course, you can't think WoW skinned as SC2...there would HAVE to be MUCH different game mechanics.
I'm looking forward to seeing what my e6750 will do...I haven't had much time to do anything other than setup the machine and make sure everything else is running. Anyone else use the e6750? if so, what settings did you use and how well are they working?
For $40 its not bad considering what type of items you're getting. Personally speaking? IMO (coming from 11+ years of paintball and tournament play), you prolly should have gone with something a bit better in regards to quality. paintballgear.com usually has alot of closeout items for cheap...
I'll be getting the last of my rig this week and will post some results when I can. Been a while since I OC'd much...is there a good place for a guide on OCing the P6N? Mainly since I've been out of the loop a bit, I'm not up to speed on some terms (1T/2T?) and what they mean...thanks!
gotcha...well thanks for the info. I know I'll be making the move at some point, this was just to help determine what I was going to start off with in my new box.
I've been doing some more research, and it seems that there's very little performance increase between XP and Vista in regards to anything NOT designed for 64 bit architecture. So for the time being I think I'll just stick with XP (maybe even try XP64, still need to check on drivers though).
I'm putting a rig together in the next week or so and trying to decide if I should make the move to Vista (64bit) or stay with XP pro. I'll be using the system mostly for gaming, and was wondering if it is really worth it go for the 64 bit OS? I've been reading up on the differences between...
Well, I doubt I'll be using any of the 8800 series cards, simply due to funds, so I was looking some of the 8600 line. Aside from that, I'll probably only have one HD and a couple of dvd drives. Nothing much more than that though, so its not like I need a 750w psu. Thanks for getting back to...
Alright guys, I'm looking at building a new box soon and it looks like I'll be going with the Asus M2N32 board with an amd x2 6000. Either way, its been about 5 years since I put something together and I'm a bit out of the loop on new stuff. Mainly, I just need to know what I need to look for...
after reading through this thread it seems that the problem that the IS7 has with the DDR400 ram timings is related largely to overclocking? am I wrong in this assumption here? I mean, I can get everything I need and just waiting on a solid OC until they get the issue resolved in the bios. What...
the point? curriosity mostly, secondly though just because one can :) Personally I wouldn't use one of those processors to OC that mobo. Was mostly just currious about how the board handled the new processors.
if I get a mobo that says it supports pc3200 ram, would it be a good idea to get pc3500 ram rather than the pc3200? my thinking here is that if I'm going to be OCing, I don't want the pc3200 holding me back and that the pc3500 would be able to handle the OC since its used to running at that...
