CPU vs. GPU Upgrade

Currently running an AMD Athlon X2 - 4200 w/ 2 gigs of ram and a vanilla ATI X1900. Looking to upgrade either my CPU + Ram or GPU, I don't want to spend too much but am willing to buy whatever is the most bang for the buck in each category right now. Which in the CPU's case would be an E8500...

Just got a PS3, cool stuff to do with it?

Anyone also know if it's safe to go to firmware 1.9? I remember on my PSP updating the firmware was a no no if I wanted to run homebrew stuff.

Just got a PS3, cool stuff to do with it?

So I just got my PS3, played around with some demos, played a BLU-RAY Movie. So far I'm pretty impressed with the unit, but was wondering what are some cool things I can do with the ps3 other than the standard, play games / movies. I'm talking about running linux, ripping blu-ray, etc...

When you allocate memory for "array", you are redefining the variable. So your only really allocating space for the variable "array" inside of createArray()'s scope. If you wish to allocate memory for the global variable "array", change the line to: array = new int[length_max]; instead...
