Buyer/Seller/Shipping/Insurance.....your opinion

I have a question. Why is it the buyer?s responsibility to guarantee that they get the product they purchase, like insuring the item? (UPS and FedEx default is $100 insurance per pkg) I've read many shipping disclaimers by sellers that say they are not responsible if the product does not...

Another Amazon price change got me a Sound Blaster X-FI Platinum for $139.98 (-50.00 MIR) for a total of $89.98 after rebate. Currently, it's $169.99. Only saw it for a short while and thought I should jump on it. Amazon confirmed shipment yesterday.
