I'm buying a new LCD TV

I'm curious how the current TV's do with DVI-HDMI conversion. Will the screen show 1280x1024 properly (my current one doesn't but works fine with a VGA connection)? Should I just find a decent older one that has a DVI connection instead?

Suggestions on what to do when a video card manufacturer rips you off?

Either way the base 8 math does not work out for the video card, if it was as the rep claimed the video card would be 1600MHz. Basically I concur the rep doesn't know what he is talking about.

Server Problem

You gave me an idea. I'm going to hook the PSU from my other computer up and see what happens. I've also got a backup video card around here somewhere... I've checked the heatsink, at first one of the connections was loose but I fixed it. (that was yesterday)

Server Problem

I am running a 9800GT in w7-x64 with the latest drivers and I can not get my custom resolutions to work. I have a Polaroid FLM-2632 (TV) that runs at 1280x1024 @ 60hz & 1366x768 @ 60hz in windows XP. With 7 build 7100 I can get it to run 1280x1024 @ 75 hz but the text is funky in the center of...
