    Got my replacement riser today... same problem. The 1070 works in other machines, and directly in the new mobo, but not either riser. Im just sending the case back and finding one without a riser.

    I did find two options in the BIOS:PCIe x16 Switch and Promontory PCIe x16 Switch, and both have options of Auto, Gen1, Gen2. Looking around the only people I saw talking about it were miners, so I think that might be the option in this BIOS. I didn't see any other PCI-E or GPU related...

    Thank your for those tips! I never even realized the GPU could get fw updates. I'll need to read up on your other recommendations. BUT, I may have had a breakthrough... This particular case provides an adapter/riser cable that wraps around the back of the case so that the GPU can be mounted...

    Not an option, no onboard video! I can poke around the bios some more, but I don't expect to see any options since its not there. Plus the 660 works as expected without any BIOS adjustments.

    Hey, thanks for the reply. That crossed my mind as well, but when I looked at the power requirements for the 660 they seemed very similar so I discounted it. Just to be sure, I just now hooked everything (mobo/cpu/gpu) up to an external 860W PSU and I'm seeing the same behavior.

    The Wolf of Wall Street - 8.0/10 - Gratuitous & surprisingly funny. I could have ranked it higher but I don't think it was properly edited. Some of the scenes felt out of Family Guy (going on and on forever). Well acted.
