Intel shares rise amid reported joint venture interest
TSMC pitched a deal to chipmakers Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), AMD (NASDAQ:AMD), and Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) over forming a joint venture to operate Intel’s foundry business in the U.S., Reuters reported on Wednesday, with Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM)...
I am going to wait for the release of the Nvidia Founder Edition RTX 6000 Blackwell for my task of: internet surfing, watching streaming content and using Windows Notepad!😄👍
Windows 11 Pro has multiple screen operations built in. Just need the additional GPU. I think you can have up to 16 screens displayed at any one time. Who has 16 monitors? Even large trading desks only use 4-6 displays!
Spend time on YouTube with reviews new 8K OLED and QLED extra large screen TVs. 110" plus models. Wow. They have transparent displays now too! Cheap projection TVs too! I going wait a few years and get me a 120" OLED!
Intel has to do something before they run out of cash! I think the only hope other then TSMC taking over the Intel foundry business; is to close it down and take a massive write off!
Elon Musk could be convinced by President Trump to buy it out completely, but I would not bet on that since...
Intel BOD again hired an executive search firm to find a replacement for Gelsinger. They are rumor to be given only a 6-month contract to complete the mission. Personally, I would choice Elon Musk! He knows the technology firsthand and has the visionary and management talents to turnaround...
As long as Intel mobile CPUs require a fan to operate, I stick with Apple M series MacBook Air! Qualcomm Arms based are not completely compatible with Microsoft based third party software. Intel has no way to get rid of the built-in fan since it still stuck at 7 nm.
The lower cost 50 series RTX 5070 is around middle $500s and supposed to be more powerful than the current 4090! Coming out in February 2025! I going to be my next GPU for doing e-mail, watching streaming content, internet browsing and YouTubing.:D This will replace my RTX 3060 Ti Limit Edition.
Former GEO Pat Gelsinger plan was 7-8 year long. Intel bleeding cash and will only last 3 years. That why Biden gave $8-9 billion to shore up it cashflow and help Intel along. The foundry is where the bleed is at! Even Intel does not use it own foundry to make it's CPUs.
