Galax has a 5090 with dual 12 pin connectors in their lab, it's not clear if they will, or are allowed to ship to customers, but they should. It also appears to have 5 shunt resistors for measuring incoming power...

Forum dwellers engage in a lot of self projection about what the market will do, that ends up have zero correlation. People said the same about the 4060 Ti 8GB at $400, and those sold like hotcakes.

In hindsight, I think the lack of AMD 1st party model was a warning sign of incoming fake MSRP from AMD as well. Glad I got my 4070 in saner times. This feels like Crypto Coin and COVID nonsense all over again.

I wouldn't encourage an even smaller bus. Shrinking the bus, then doing a clamshell design with more chips, would probably be more expensive than just using 3GB chips. Do 12GB the right way: with 3GB chips, or don't do it at all. At this performance level 12GB really isn't that important...

Sounds about right. A little less performance than 4060. If they could deliver it in volume for $250 or less, it would likely be a big seller.

Again, that's doesn't make 9070 a good product. Having a product exist only to act as a poor value, to make another product in your lineup look better in comparison is just dumb. This is the third time in a Row AMD has done this, and they ended up with terrible reviews for those products, only...
