Because there are a lot of users that are running monitors that require dual DVI since their resolution is 1440p/1600p and their only input is DVI. Active DVI-DL conversion from displayport is extremely fragile and prone to problems. Easier that for the HUGE numbers of people still running...

The user reviews look pretty bad. Plus, when one say it's not "that loud" given what it's got, then it must be pretty loud in spite of its water cooling. I'd also pay close attention to the user review about amps and your PSU.

PC Download is an Origin key. PC Instant Access is you tie your Amazon account to Origin and they automatically transfer the license to your Origin account because it's tied to the Amazon account. I think it's a convenience thing. Well, it's clearly convenient to Amazon. ;)

Any PotPlayer users out there?

Change the UI to one of a bajillion skins that are out there. Otherwise, the options are mostly there to say, "Use LAV/MadVR" for me.

Does the 3970K give PCIe 3.0 for AMD cards? Or is that something you'd have to jump up to 4970K for? I'm wondering because it seems like an improvement in PCIe would greatly benefit this rig.
