But if the battery is drained, then it shouldn't be able to hold ANY settings at all, am I right? Which means that e.g. boot order would be reset every bootup
So the battery helped for a while, but now it's back or what?
I'm also considering sending this board back and getting another. Just don't know which one
1manArmy: I have exactly the same problem. F11b didn't fix it for me... I haven't tried unplugging IDE devices (is it ok to just disable them in the BIOS?)
I tried disabling and unplugging my DVD-burner (IDE), but still no luck. Only in Windows in can OC using Easytune. Currently running my 6300@2400MHz, which is fine, but it will not finish POST when I use the same settings in the BIOS.
Freakin' crap Rev. 3.3! Argh!:|
F10 now, tried F11 (I once found f2 and f3 download information for rev 3.3, but the checksum is wrong 500 kb instead of 1mb)
I narrowed it down to the CPU host clock control: whenever I enable it (even at 266) it will not finish POST. It shows the new frequency but 1 second after that it...
I tried running the RAM 266 5-5-5-18 @ 1.8-2.1 Volts.
the problem seems to be every time I enable cpu host clock control (FSB) it ALWAYS reverts to disabled and runs at 266. I tried overvolting everything to +0.1 but it doesn't seem to be the issue.
the RAM should be able to do better than...
I got the board to run my Corsair XMS @ 1:1 266MHz 4-4-4-12, but anything higher than that and it reverts during POST. (the RAM is tested to work @ 1:1 400MHz 4-4-4-12)
My voltages are not good either, Vcore 1.28 @ default (should be 1.325, and that's after trying 2 PSUs (+30Amps on 12V))...
Hi everyone,
Just bought the v3.3 (came with F10 bios, flashed to 11b but still have problems)
CPU: E6300 (stepping B2, 06F6)
RAM: Corsair XMS2 6400 4-4-4-12-2t (2.1V)
PSU: 400Watt (14+15Amps on 12V1+12V2)
GPHX: Winfast 7900GTX 512MB
The board will not let me use 1:1 (assume that is...
