Need Recommendation for new video card to pair with older processor

sapphire x1900xtx broke my computer

I can't comment on whether the enermax is overpriced or not but I have a noisetaker 485 w as mentioned above and it runs my x2 3800 (@2.4) and x1900xt(@XTX speeds) very well with no issues. Either one of the PSU's listed above is probably fine just make sure the 12V rails add up to as high as...

Forcing Anti-aliasing without giving up HDR on Oblivion

When I try to force AA+HDR it actually gives me the HDR on instead of the AA. To me the HDR is noticeably nicer looking than the bloom effect but the jagged edges around the water boundaries etc. are irritating. Maybe there will be a patch released for us x1800,x1900 users because it would...

Pixel Shift on LCD?

Yeah the DVI does not allow me to correct coarse and fine settings. I'll check to see if I can get it to occur during gameplay. It may have been just during menus, loading screens etc. Thanks.

Should I format computer while putting in x1900xt?

I recently switched from 6800gs to x1900xt. I used add/remove programs to take out the nvidia software. Then I rebooted in safe mode and used drivercleaner. Then I turned off computer and I put in the ati card and installed the drivers for it. Everything has worked fine so far with no conflicts...

Nvidia is lame.

They probably do sell them as refurbished. This doesn't mean they lose money though. If the card only costs them, say $200 and they can sell new ones for $400 and refurbished ones for $300, then they are still doing well and offering a service that noone else does for their customers.

VISTA BETA gets ATI x1900 support before XP

Hey we pleaded ATI for a hard launch this time apparently they took that to mean without the SOFTware. My x1900xt seems to work fine but I would like some official driver support!

X1900XT(X) Overclocks to ???

Yeah CCC program autodetected (x1900xt) my speeds to be 689, 797. I ran 3dmark05 and it froze my system. I'm currently running at 655, 775 and everything is smooth but temps are a little high. Anyone know a safe load temperature for the x1900xt?

I would sell you my TI4400 for cheap, but I promised a friend I would give her the whole system. Sims 2 did run pretty well on it now that I recall.
