Wow. I remember when 1,000 ppd made you a lock for the top 10, if not top 5. I had actually climbed as high as #11, and now 3,600 ppd doesn't even guarantee you top 40! These young whippersnappers and their fancy rigs, with their new-fangled GPU's... Keep up the great work everyone!

Strange Temps w/Q9550 and Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR

I just upgraded this rig last night from an AMD X2 5200+. New CPU/mobo is a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR motherboard and Q9550 with stock HSF. No overclocking yet. 8GB of RAM (4x2GB Geil PC-6400) and a Sapphire Radeon HD3850 512MB video card. Upon booting and poking around in the BIOS, the...

Well, she's up and running, but with the 2 leftover WU's from the dual days. I'll work on getting a couple SMP clients up on her tomorrow. Did I mention that I love Christmas? :P

Just received my new Intel Q9550 from Newegg. Granted, it's only replacing an X2 5200+, but should still be a bit of a boost once I get her online....

Geeze, and I was still one of the "big guns". Sadly, my ppd hasn't quite kept up with the rest of the folks here, not to mention some of the new guys. Oh well, at least the fun of the race hasn't diminished any! :beer:
