Anyone had experience with this particular model (yeah, yeah, I'll google some reviews too :)). I dropped my 24" westinghouse, which I love, so sort of need a new monitor. Great price!
Nice find, but I'm calling BS on Altrec's implementation. The discount is for all non-sale items -- the sunglasses I just tried to buy were on sale... for 1% off, i'm sure specifically so they (and many other items) couldn't use the code.
Still, killer deal if you can find items it's actually...
thanks, this is super helpful. No gaming on this machine, and my attempts to use a receiver to do this are failing miserably (i'm an idiot, so I bought a cheap HDMI pass-through receiver that doesn't do any HDMI audio. God bless returns). I'm on a mission today, so I'm going to go see if I can...
Title sums it up -- searching zillions of forums, I've found some comments on HDMI-out solutions for HTPCs, but nothing "definitive."
For my HTPC, I'm looking to consolidate into one cable (HDMI) carrying both audio and video. For any number of reasons, this means I need to have a video card...
Dell canceled my order (now scheduled to ship on 1/22, ordered before thanksgiving like most of you). This experience has _really_ soured me to Dell for any future purchases.
What are you talking about -- this is totally hot -- it even has a good shipping deal!
"Free Shipping on qualifled orders over $99.99(UPS 3-5 days)"
I want to go qualifle something...
I _love_ mine -- arrived about three days ago. Only complaint I have is a slightly flimsy stand and the fact that I had to buy a DVI-HDMI cable. A wall mount will soon fix the former, and I can deal with the latter ($11 extra at newegg).
The screen is stunning.
I actually second this completely. I just paid my extra $50 @ zzf because of appalling service and damaged goods in a recent combo mobo/core2duo order.
If he wants to use the thing at all in classrooms, I would strongly be looking at 14" models or less. The logistics of lugging around a larger computer - and certainly using it in a crowded classroom - really weigh against anything with a 15"+ screen.
Beyond that, I always recommend either...
I've been debating an upgrade for a few months now (have a T40p), but I think I'd like to hold out for the newest tech. Haven't been able to find any word on it at all though!
What gets me about iTunes is the inability to generate random lists that update themselves; am I missing something? I would love to be able to do this, as my iPod nano of course can't hold my entire music collection.
I purchased Anapod explicitly for this reason, but it only works with songs...
