That's a possibility too, but there's really no way to be certain unless I try every board they have at the store until I get a properly working one, lol.
I'm not sure if you read my initial post, but I only experience the sound issues when I have the Realtek HD audio drivers installed. If I uninstall the Realtek drivers and go with the generic Windows audio drivers, then there are no issues with the sound at all. That leaves me to believe that...
I dont care much for fancy features. I would never use them. I'm not an audiophile or anything, I just like stuff to work. I would mostly listen to MP3s, and watch YouTube videos. I'm not a big gamer either.

Hello everyone,
I recently put together a new PC build to replace my aging desktop at home.
Here's a quick list of the parts I used:
Intel i5 3570k processor
ASRock Z77 Pro4-M motherboard
Kingston HyperX 3k 120GB SSD hard drive
G.Skill memory (16GB)
I am using the built in graphics...
Thanks!
The A/V racks goes into a storage room where I keep my gun safe. It's not really being used besides that so I figured I'd cut into the wall and slide the cabinet in to keep it flush with the wall.
All wires are in that storage room and out of sight.
My goal was to keep it pretty...
FINALLY!
After connecting all cables, we are finally in business!
Here's what the A/V rack looks like now:
Starting from top:
Center speaker
Onkyo receiver
Verizon FiOS box
PS3
HTPC
All video inputs are connected to the receiver via HDMI and only ONE output HDMI cable goes...
Progress pics...
Cleaned up the insides of the HTPC best I could.
I ran into a little problem, as I had only one ethernet cable that runs into the living room and I had to connect both my PS3 and my new HTPC.
I found an old D-Link router in my garage and used it as a switch. Now everything...
Chaos:
Gotta clean it up, just wanted to see if it would start up:
Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, updated drivers, thing is running fine. And did I mention it's QUIET?
Power supply hasn't blown up yet.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't remember ever asking for advice.
I asked for an opinion of my build. Not advice.
Two totally different things.
I never asked, "What should I buy?"

ps.
Thanks for calling me a hard headed little boy :)
