I had a similar problem -- it occured after updating to the latest nForce drivers, which happened to install the latest nVidia Firewall. I turned the firewall off (told it to use the Windows firewall instead) and my nVidia port started working again.
Good luck,
Carl
I went with the Zalman NB47J heatsink. The fan is a pain to get off -- have a friend help you. I had someone push hard on the black pins and then cut them from the bottom of the mobo with some wire cutters. If you try this, be careful you don't scratch the mobo or bend it too much. And you...
I wanted to post an update. Xitar was on the money -- this was my problem. Disabling the nVidia firewall made the port work again.
Hopefully this confirmation will be of help to someone having hte same problem in the future. Thanks again Xitar!

I had a similar problem with my 712SA. I installed the latest BIOS and nForce chipset drivers and the problem went away. Now one of my ehternet ports no longer works, but that's another thread...

I replaced the fan on my A8N SLI Deluxe with Zalman NB47J passive heatsink. It seems to work fine. But I've only got a single nVidia 6600 graphics card (which is also passively cooled).
Getting the fan off was a pain, and I had a friend help me cut the plastic tabs on the bottom of the mobo...
Are you having a problem with your SATA HDD? The reason I ask is that I had a problem getting my SATA DVD/CD drive working with my A8N SLI Deluxe. The only way I was able to fix it was by updating both the mobo BIOS and the nForce chipset drivers. Have you tried this?
One thing: doing the...
OK, will do when I get home. Is there an easy way to get all that info (maybe a program I can run which will out put everything to a text file)? I can do most of it "by hand" if not (I think :-) ).
I went through the BIOS settings after installing v1006 and set everything as I thought it...
Hi all. I have a strange problem with my A8N SLI Deluxe mobo.
When I first got it, both ethernet ports worked just fine. But my SATA DVD/CD drive didn't work, so I decided to update the BIOS and chipset drivers. I installed the latest BIOS (1006 at the time) and nForce platform drivers...
